Which camping Chair do you want to choose?

Which camping Chair do you want to choose?

Whether you’re spending a weekend away in the great outdoors, or just going to a socially distanced picnic, a camping chair makes relaxing outside more comfortable. Are you anxious about which camping chairs to choose? I have selected the following chairs for you to choose from. Which one do you prefer?

Camping Chair Buying Advice

1.Front-Country Camping or Back Yard - As long as you won’t have to carry your chair too far, comfort is key. More durability also means better value.

GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker Portable Folding Rocking Chair

Review: Designed with patented Spring-Action Rocking Technology, the GCI Outdoor Freestyle Rocker camp chair delivers a smooth rocking action while you enjoy your favorite outdoor activity. The Freestyle Rocker features padded arm rests, built-in beverage holder and a convenient carry handle. These chairs have a lot of potential but fall short. A few modifications to the design and they would be much better. The angle between the chair seat and back is to upright. It is basically a 90 degree angle. This needs to be relaxed some. If the chair is on an uneven surface with the rear higher than the front it is very uncomfortable and you have to work against the shocks to get a somewhat comfortable position. If the back was less upright this would not be a problem. Even on flat surfaces this can be an issues if you have been sitting a while. The pads on the armrests are no long enough. The tend to slide towards the back of the chair leaving a good 6 inches or so of the front of the armrest uncovered and bare metal. Lastly the cup holder pocket is a joke. There is only one attachment point and the cloth is not rigid and moves a lot. There is a very high probability you will spill your drink and if you are trying to use a red solo cup it is almost guaranteed.

Coleman Portable Camping Quad Chair

Review: I am a bigger guy, 280 lbs so I was looking for a lightweight yet durable chair that can handle my weight. This chair fits the bill, it appears to be very stable. The hinge points all appear to be strong and should last long. The fabric looks to be of good quality and should last years with proper care (don't leave exposed to the sun or elements when you are not using). There is very thin padding in the seat bottom and back but does very little, but it is better than none at all.
I do like the mini arm cooler, just enough space to put a little bit of ice and a couple of cans of cold beer. The storage bag attached to the seat is perfect. We live in a big city so we take our dogs to the park often and when it is sunny we spend time soaking up the sun .so this is perfect to put the dog's toys or other items for us while we are seated.
Overall these chairs are perfect and I would recommend them.

ALPHA CAMP Oversized Camping Folding Chair

Review: This is a great chair for larger individuals. It's extremely roomy, the material is nice, and it's very easy to move around. It comes with 2 drink holders, 2 pockets on the side of the arms, and another pocket on the back. It folds up quickly and without hassle! The bag makes toting this chair around easy as pie. The only issue I had is with the front of the chair, where the seat ends. The King Kong has great technology for accommodating larger individuals, especially when getting out of the chair. Unfortunately, that technology can also cause some discomfort. The corner areas where the fabric seat ends have extra reinforcement, but these were putting pressure under my legs. The next day, my legs were in pain and felt swollen. This can probably be averted by not sitting in one position for extended periods of time.

Kijaro Dual Lock Portable Camping and Sports Chair

Review: Even better than what I was expecting — not your basic cramped camp chair. This chair locks into its open position for safe sitting & also locks into its closed position for easier carrying. It has a built-in carrying strap & also comes with a matching-color carrying bag. Plenty of room on the seat; all of the stitching is well done; the arms are firm when the chair is locked open & do not move or slip; has a nice built-in zippered bag on the right side of the seat with two outside slots for sunglasses, cell phone, wallet, etc.; a cup holder in each arm; when locked open the chair is super supportive & has no give at all — a very sturdy chair that feels completely safe. They are slightly heavy but I can comfortably carry two on my shoulder for short distances (i.e. from the car to the soccer field). Carrying them for longer distances would definitely be tiring. They do sit higher than most camping/folding chairs so if you're a shorter person you might find them to be slightly uncomfortable.

2.Day Trips: Concerts, Events, Festivals, the Beach - Low, portable chairs that are easy to carry and don’t block the view of those behind you are recommended for musical events, movies in the park, trips to the beach, etc.

KingCamp Low Sling Beach Chair

Review: Ought this chair for outdoor concerts that require a low chair and also to take to the beach. It arrived quickly and I just used it this past weekend at the beach. I LOVE that it collapses into a bag because it takes up much less room in the vehicle and is much easier to pack. The bag having a shoulder strap makes it very convenient to throw on your shoulder and head to the beach. However most days I didn’t bother with the bag, and it was still easy and light to carry. The mesh back insert was nice to keep your back from sweating so bad. Not having a metal bar under your legs was nice. It collapses super easy and you can basically close it up with one hand. The cup holder was nice and was not in the way. The only downside is that it doesn’t recline like some beach chairs do.

Browning Camping Strutter Hunting Chair

Review: I spend a lot of time hunting from the ground. I can't sit on the ground for long before my back starts bothering me.
I bought this folding chair to help extend my hunting day, and it has functioned very well.
It's easy and quiet to set up. It can be a bit difficult at first to sit so low, but I found if I kneel in front of the chair it's easy to slide back into a sitting position.
Once in position this chair is very comfortable. I have no problem sitting all day.
A couple of downsides-
This chair is not light. I wish it was lighter.
The D-rings used to attach the shoulder strap are terrible. One broke on my chair during the first week of hunting.
I replaced both of the cheap plastic attachment points with paracord loops - much stronger and quieter to boot!

HITORHIKE Low Sling Beach Camping Concert Folding Chair

Review: I've gotten used of those folding beach lounge chairs that only fold in half. They're not that easy to carry around cuz they're still this giant square. This chair is much easier to transport. It fold down into a tube (like a camping chair), but it's a lounger, so you can sit nice and relaxed.

It's easy to set up, with just two fabric pockets you have to tuck the poles into before folding out the chair. That's it. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

I've brought it to the beach and park a few times now. It's comfy, easy to setup, and easy to carry. I really like it and have to recommend it! It'll report back in a few month on its durability or if anything changes.

3.Backpacking- portaortability is critical. Keep weight and bulk to an absolute minimum.

Sportneer Camping Backpacking Chair

Review: These chairs were CLUTCH for our hiking and camping trip where we had to hike in over a mile over rough terrain. They're very light and take up no room. One thing to consider is that because of their dainty little legs they WILL sink into mud big-time. I resolved this just by putting the edge of my tarp underneath. These chairs are also surprisingly easy to put together although it can be a little tricky pulling the cover over the frame, but not too big of a deal. I was also surprised at how comfy they are. As a short person I probably prefer them to a standard chair- you almost feel like you're reclining, and they're the perfect height for petting your pup fireside. Lastly, I was extremely impressed that my 250ish lb boyfriend could fit in his chair pretty comfortably.

MOON LENCE Outdoor Ultralight Portable Folding Chairs

Review: I like the size of this chair folded up. It's small and can fit in your bag however, I think I'd prefer to strap it on the outside of my bag for easy access. It's very easy to assemble, it can be done in 30 sec. It's very light I think around 2 pounds, but it would be nice to have it around 1 pound, something the company could shoot for in an update perhaps. Overall, the chair seems very sturdy and can support my weight (200 lbs). One complaint I have is the two front seat poles holding the front of the seat where it supports your legs up can feel flimsy when you move your weight forward on the chair, but it doesn't feel like it would compromise the chairs stability at all, it's just something I feel.

HITORHIKE Camping Chair

Review: These super lightweight and easy to construct and de-construct chairs are fabulous. I've used them 3 times so far on three different surfaces.
1) Great on sturdy grass!
2) They are very good on sand, but they do sink in a bit and if you lean too far you'll sink and tip over. If you set them on the edge of your beach cover- this is less of an issue.
3) Not great on a rocky sloped shoreline. Still better than sitting on rocks, but tippy and had to use our legs to dug in to keep them from taking us too far forward.
They are so lightweight- I have them in my car and can pull them out and pop them together in a couple of minutes.
note: they are so lightweight that if you are not sitting in them, they will blow over in a light wind and blow quite a distance in a heavy one.
These are very affordable and I recommend them if you are getting to the age- that sitting on the ground for long periods of time, is no longer a comfortable option.

4.High Back Folding Camping Chair

Nice C Ultralight High Back Folding Camping Chair

Review: I'm a backpacker and always looking to lose weight, with a chair being the bulkiest item for me this was a game changer. Packs up to about the size of a loaf of bread and probably weighs about the same if not lighter. So far has been very sturdy, I set it up in a river and it sat above the water but let me dunk my toes. I also loved that it’s got a high back unlike other portable camp chairs. Super comfy, honestly comfier than a bigger bulkier chair. Has a slight leaned back angle for perfect relaxation. Takes literally like 120 seconds to set up and take down.

G4Free Upgraded Lightweight Portable Camping Chair

Review:  I bought two of these chairs for a 30 mile hiking / camping trip. They worked great. I'm 5'10", 175 pounds. I found the chair to be easy to assemble (took about a minute) and very comfortable to sit in. The high back and head rest were great for kicking back and enjoying our breaks. The chair is sturdy on relatively flat ground. I probably wouldn't trust it on hilly terrain.

The chair might be a little too heavy for an extended trip, but the weight was acceptable for our short trip. I just clipped it to the outside of my backpack.

Hitorhike Camping Chair with Nylon Mesh and Comfortable Headrest Ultralight High Back Folding Camp Chair

Review: I was so excited for the chair, i set it up the moment I got it. I've been an avid backpacker for years, and this year I finally decided I should look into camping. While my backpacking gear is great, camping allows me to bring comfier, but heavier items.

Chairs were definitely on my list, and the head rest was a seller!

What i've loved about this chair so far:
- This chair weighs in at a little under 4lbs
- Fits in its little compact case
- It took me less than 2 minutes to set it up
- It's actually really comfy, I have it permanently set up in my room as a nice chair to sit in.
- It feels very durable

What I don't love about this chair:
- As comfy as it is, it is definitely meant for camping and no backpacking
- $50 is an okay price, I mean realistically you can pick up a camp chair for much less at walmart if you dont care about how compact you want a chair to be.
